error occurred in the vSphere Client. Details: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Recently i applied Patch update03 on my ESX Server 4.1, after the update finished successfully i started testing my ESX server using my VSphere client and when i tried to Migrate my Virtual Machine from another ESX Server to the updated ESX server i got the  error occurred in the vSphere Client. Details: Object reference not set to an instance of an object Message although the migration was successful

Although the operation it self is successful but the error itself is annoying , so i started searching around for a solution and i actually found several people getting this message for different reasons when they perform different operations through VSphere client after patching ESX server, personally it hit me with the virtual machine Migration, that was when i came by that VMware KB that solved my problem http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1033560

First you need to close your VSphere client and make sure you do not have any connections running, then download the VIClient.dll file from the above KB, once you downloaded and extracted this file go to the following path on the machine with the VSphere Client installed and locate VIClient.dll file

C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\4.1

Rename this file to VIClient_Orig.dll

Then copy the downloaded VIClient.dll file to the same directory, start your VSphere Client and you shall not meet this error again.
